Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
Question: Why the heck would you want such a confusing language just for composing music?
Answer: GeN is made for composers on the go. Instead of having to keep track of endless sheets of paper or use a slow online program to compose music, GeN is meant to be compact and easily accessible. Our upcoming tool, GeNCS will hopefully fix this problem.
Question: What if the tutorials just don't make any sense?
Answer: If you have trouble interpreting the GeN language, keep in mind that GeN is in early development and you contact the developer at any time if you want to request any changes.
Question: Does GeN stand for anything?
GeN is short for Grimes Notation. Grimes is the developer of the language's last name.
